At the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic, Pequot Manufacturing was tapped to aid in ventilator production. Pequot Manufacturing's essential workforce went to all hands on deck status in less than a week. We were able to qualify 18 precision medical parts in month 1 and begin automated production by month 2. We were able to ship ~300,000 pieces over the next 6 months to aid in building ventilators. The automation that we deployed in this project allowed us to divert our personnel resources to other projects that were ramping up concurrently.
What we learned during this time frame has permanently changed our perceived capacity for the better.
