Pequot Tool & Manufacturing began its operation as a metal stamping and manufacturing plant with a family of 4 employees, one major customer, and a rented building of 3,200 sq. ft. in Pequot Lakes, MN.
1981
august
Built and moved into a new 12,000 sq. ft. plant in Jenkins, MN. 2 CNC Lathes were added for precision machining work. Employees numbered 11, major customers 12. A second shift of workers was started in 1992.
1989
january
Grew to 22 employees with 20 major customers and needed to expand. An 18,000 sq. ft. addition was completed making a total of 30,000 sq. ft. of space. Approx. $1.8 million in sales.
1994
november
Added on 6000 sq. ft. for a new shipping area and remodeled and centralized its cleaning, deburring, QC area and packaging area. Total plant size increased to 63,000 sq. ft. Total employees 67. Total customers 90 and annualized sales approximately $5.9 million. In April 2002 we began the process to become ISO 9001/2000 certified.
2002
december
Completed 12,000 sq. ft. for offices and remodeled approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of existing office space into production space in our machining and fabrication areas. Total employees 119. Total customers 125 and annualized sales approximately $12.2 million.
2007
january
Completed an approximate 12,000 sq. ft. addition to the Fabricating Department and created dedicated space for R & D, new product development and Apprenticeship Training. Total square footage is approximately 95,000 sq. ft.
2015
july
Doubled the internal robotic fleet to 16 in operation. Eclipsed 170 employees. Total customers 300 and annualized sales of 25 million.
